Exhibition of Paintings

Triality: The Inner journey

Thursday, August 21 to Sunday, September 7

Opening 2 pm, August 21

Gallery opening time 10 am to 6 pm every day

The paintings by Helen Jandamit in this exhibition synthesize ‘insights” that have arisen over half a century of continuous practice of Buddhist Vipassana meditation. Those insights are hinted at and combined with energy signatures derived from Samatha
Jhana states (absorptions).

The paintings are inter-dimensional and suggest a profound integration and freedom
that transcends duality – thus the name – Triality.

The triangular forms symbolize that state of mind.
All the paintings are in oil on canvas. In many of them, crystals are integral to the images.

You can also see a selection of spiritual paintings by the famous Thai artist Amnart Klanprachar who is now the monk,
Phra Amnart Ophaso.

Different in style yet similar in inspiration:
It’s a fascinating juxtaposition.

Vipassana Introductory courses

Introductory courses are highly recommended for those who genuinely wish to practice Vipassana meditation.

¤ They make clear the differences between Vipassana (Insight) meditation and Samatha (Calmness) meditation.
¤ They provide ongoing feedback in an interactive and personal way. The maximum number of participants is six.
¤ They are not silent throughout. There is plenty of opportunity to ask questions.
¤ Whilst participants will be given a comprehensive explanation of basic Buddhist ritual, nobody is expected to participate in that ritual if he or she feels uncomfortable.
¤ The shrine room is air-conditioned and chairs are provided if preferred.

Participants will gradually be guided through exercises to improve their concentration and bare awareness "sati", including standing, walking, sitting and lying down exercises.

It can be used most effectively as a self help technique as well as for the release of stress, for relaxation and to restore the vital energy lost in daily life.

It can be used alone or to support and enhance conventional medical treatment.
